Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic captain for the team that has won gold medals in 2012. She has earned six Olympic medals, all in all and was part of two gold-medal-winning World Championships teams. Aly, a native Massachusettsn, fell in love with gymnastics as young as 18 months, when she participated in a mommy and Me class. Aly is a powerful leader both on and off the floor and an unwavering advocate for body positivity and recently spoke out against Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly was born on the 24th of April, 1994. Aly Raisman started gymnastics at an early age and played a role in helping her U.S. gymnastics team win the 2011 World Championships. The following year she took home two gold medals--one in the team competition and one in the individual floor exercise--and a bronze medal in beam gymnastics at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Raisman received silver in both the floor and individual finals at the 2016 Olympics at Rio. In addition, she took home a gold award in the gymnastics team competition. Raisman revealed a shocking story in 2017. She had been assaulted sexually at the hands of an ex-team physician Larry Nassar. In the time that followed, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics.
